It was our 7th
Anniversary, four of us had a great, lazy and relaxing time in a tranquil place
in Kuruwita. Lake Serenity Botique Hotel is located in Gonapitiya, Kuruwita.
Few meters from Kuruwita town towards Rathnapura and there is Gonapitiya road
on the right side, where Lake Serenity Botique is found approximately 2kms
drive. Direction boards bring you to the place without a hassle.
There is manmade lake in the
heart of the hotel to welcome you to the place and we were impressed with the
enchanting view of the lake and surround. Restaurant is adjoined to the Lake.
Rooms, swimming pool, Bar and children’s play area are together behind the lake
and surrounded by a tea plantation. Rooms are attached with a private balcony,
our room balcony opened to a paddy field.
Dinner was arrange in the
balcony, atmosphere was very much fit for a beer. Breezing at the outside
appetized and spiced us to enjoy the meal. Since it was private, we took our
own time with the Dinner, I had my dinner while sipping and testing my glass.
Dula and Ranu both had it in their own-way. As usual, Netha enjoyed the meal gently.
I would say that the most attracted
place here is the lake. There is a flock of Swans and another gang of ducks
swim heather and thither. Restaurant is located at an ideal place to overlook
the whole lake and the hotel. Adjoining land to the hotel from the Restaurant side
is a rubber plantation. This scenario makes the surrounding of the restaurant a
gloomy from one side and bright sunny from the lakeside. A blend of
tranquility, atmosphere, taste of the food and frequent calls of birds make the
meal at the Restaurant a great and unforgotten one.
Shuttle vehicles are available at
the hotel to move guests within the premises. There is a fair distance between
rooms, restaurant and the front office, where all scatted. But walking in the
premises is quite enjoyable. After the morning meal, we had a relaxing and lonely
time in the garden. The play area, which was the mostly attracted by Dula and
Ranu. They both enjoyed boundlessly,’ cause only two of them and nobody. Dula had
a swim too.
We checked-out before the lunch.
As planned, had a relaxing, lonely weekend for our anniversary at Lake
Serenity, an unforgotten place. Lafayette Park, a restaurant, rather hotel in Eheliyagoda,
another unique in kind was the place we had our lunch. A simple Sri Lankan
buffet was available and it was delicious. Ample space in the restaurant made
the place play area for Ranu.
So finally waiting for another
outing…..
